Mother's Day in Thailand

The children at Anubaan Chiang mai School were excited about Mother's Day this year just as they are every year. Two of the grade six classes wanted to do something special for their moms this year. They had already made cards and decorated them in order to give them on Mother's Day, but this was not enough this year. They brainstormed and came up with many ideas. They discussed the suggestions given by the students until they were able to agree on one idea.
The grade six students decided to purchase T-shirts and paint on them and give them to their moms on Mother's Day which is on August 12 every year in Thailand. Mother's Day is celebrated on the birthday of the Queen of Thailand. This would be a present that would reflect the love the children have for their mothers. It would be a gift that expressed their personal feeling about their moms on the T-shirts. They worked very hard for many hours to make sure that their moms would appreciate the work that they had put into the personalized T-shirts. Some of the children were better artists than the others. The enjoyment of the activity was felt by everyone. Please take a look at the photos and see the fun the kids had doing something nice for mom. No matter how the T-shirts turned out, I am sure the moms were thankful to their children.

Chiang mai is located in the North of Thailand. In the North was has 3 seasons unlike Southern Thailand which only has 2 seasons. In the North we have what is called cool season. it does not get very cold, but it is considerately colder than Southern Thailand.

Yes, I have been fortunate enough to have traveled to many parts of Thailand. I have even live in Chiang rai, Surine, and Rayong. They too are very nice and each have something special about them.
